hello

i played bg1 when it was 1.2 and 1.21, when it just had 5 maps or kindalike ^^ (wanna say ive not played it a long time, because something didnt work; i love to play that game and i think its sad that dudes like him destroy the other players fun)

got a problem with a dude whose JUST teamkilling, he does not do anything realting to gameplay
ONLY teamkilling the whole time.
i dont know how to make a demo, i'll try to get some screens with negative scores from that dude

i would be VERY pleased if he would be away, because he plays on 1 of the 2 servers i can only find 2 play on (i am coming from GER)

ah yeah and before i forget it, all dudes in his team (including me) were teamkilling him, after recognizing that he spawnkills us EVERY round, u know, we wanted to go outside on the battlefield to fight the brits 4 our independence ^^, so it sadly started 2 become a tk-game.
so i had a chat with all players on the server, not to kill enemies, everybody just kill him because i wanted 2 try to get him away in this "soft" way, i am not a big fan of reporting dudes, but THIS time its a must!

You'll at least need screens, and then you'll need admins that implement JLL...

Oh, and revenge-tks generally don't work well, and are, IMHO, worthy of a ban just the same - not necessarily because they are intentional, but for general stupidity. Without admin, you generally can't get rid of a TKer, but by ignoring them as much as possible you have a much higher chance of success than by doing exactly what they want and turning the game into a TK-fest.

yeah you are right, the problem was he was always waiting on spawn, ignoring was not possible!
i am not a tk'er, hell no, i want to play in peace, what everybody else also wants.
i just tried it, because i couldnt get any help! (no admin etc.)
this was yesterday
so when i saw him again today, doing the same again, reading from others about this forum here, i decided to contact it

you are right with the "general stupidity", but there was no other way! i know its hard to believe, for me its very hard to prove.

as i said, i will try to get some screens, and i will stay away from what u called "general stupidity" because i really know its wrong

Wasn't meant to be a personal attack against you, Bleihaus, just a general remark. Depending on the map, you may indeed have little choice but to TK if you want to play at all.. but if you're playing something with a fairly open spawn area, most players should be able to just run past the TKer, and everytime the game still turns into a TK fest on such maps because some kid wants "revenge" I get really pissed off. As if it wasn't bad enough that there's an idiot on the server trying to ruin the game, no, they actually have to go and assist him.

As for admins - most of the servers are run by clans, and those clans have irc channels were most of the clanmembers hang around, and most of those have admin rights on the server...

i know that wasnt an attack ^^ the map was battlefield, u know he was waiting in the tunnel, shot 1 time and then stabbed. no chance to get a real gameplay ;-(
i just was so angry because i havent played it for a long time and when i played it 2 years ago, i never seen a dude like him, just tk'ing. all in all theres no sense in it, therefore i would be very happy 2 get rid of him, i am steadily lookin for him....i wanna get him down!

stumbled over some nickfakers, who were racists as well, killing their own team at spawn. Happened on the Tront-A-Lot server. Sorry for not editing the screenies, but i'm lacking a good graphics editing prog. Should be obvious though.

Screens contain evidence material and steam-IDs. i still got more screens of bg_ambush that proove how it started. if needed, pls contact me.

dunno bout this 3D-guy, think he is a faker, too. some renamed themselves; the ID remained the same though. please work it through & ban these folks.

The JLL is just a list, nothing more. It doesn't mean if someone is on the list they are going to be magically banned from BG. Server admins have to choose to use JLL on their servers. I don't know which servers currently use JLL as their banlist, but I'm guessing many do not. Jackhammer has also been fairly inactive as late, so it will probably take a while to update the list. Likewise, once the list is updated, server admins will have to download the new list and put it on their server, which they may or may not do.

The best way to get someone banned immediately is have an active server admin do it for the server you are on.

I haven't touched the JLL in a while. A lot of the ban requests in this thread haven't been looked over/processed. Nothing has persuaded me to after the not-so-groundbreaking release of 1.0F. It felt like no-one even noticed.

I just apologise to the people who still play BG1 because a banlist always makes playing on servers more fun-guaranteed.

this guy called "jeb" was a pain through over an hour of game play and has even changed his name to my name when i told him to stop. also he was blocking the door on abush but i didnt think about getting screens of that sorry.

i was hoping maybe the designers of bg2 would make a vote kik to go on the file or a anti spam pla do somthing about it cause it is so annoying and ruins the game play

Thanks for the info Nathan Hale, Steam ID added to the list, pretty sure I added 3 or 4 with the same tag yesterday.

I, Goatee and Tomdon are the main server admins our main problem is that we are all from the UK so after we have gone to bed the server is open to this type of player. If there are any US BG2 players who would like to become server admins and help us keep the server free from trouble makers please contact me.

A guy was going from server to server in bg2 today, hijacking people's nicks and spamming racist crap pretty much non-stop for at LEAST an hour.

Was on the Sir Tront-a-Lot server & on House of Whack, from what I remember. Went by Elmo_ -something, various names beginning with MillerLite, hijakced a few people's handles and right now has mine (Dastardly).

Unfortunately I have no idea how to find out somebody's steam id so I can't post it, obviously.

Yep- I've seen this guy in the RR server. He stole one of their nicknames and started spamming. What time was this in the Tront server? I admin in the US Eastern Timezone there and if catch any of this stuff he'll get banned. I've seen him at work so I'm pretty sure he'll show up sooner or later and get caught. I'm usually on in the evening times in the US. If this was earlier today then your best bet would be to try and talk to Tront or Goat since they're runnin on UK time and will more likely be in the server at that time (their evening times).

To get the right info for a ban you need to:

in console. Then a list will appear. Write down the long numbers next to his name. It should be X:X:XXXXXX or something like that. Write down all those numbers. Clear away the console after writing it down. Hit the "PrintScreen" button on your key board when he starts spamming or whatever. After exiting the game go to MS Paint, and paste the screenshot. Save it as a .jpg. Post the name, screen shot, and steam numbers here. If you can get the guy and all that proof he'll get banned from at least Tront's if not more. I know Tront and the other admins do use the list to ban people from the server.
